Business Stub Privacy Policy

Effective August 17, 2026. This policy explains how Up In Pieces LLC, doing business as Business Stub (shown on this site as BusinessStub), handles information for the BusinessStub website, marketplace, platform, and Business Stub messaging programs.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, mobile phone number, company, inquiry details, project requirements, account information, communications, and transaction or billing details. Payment processors receive payment-card information directly; Business Stub does not need to store complete card numbers.

When you use the site or platform, we may also collect device and browser information, IP address, referring and visited pages, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, security events, and product or site usage information. Messages and inquiry records may include delivery status, attachments, and consent or opt-out events.

How we use information

We use information to review and respond to inquiries, scope custom projects, provide and secure accounts and services, operate the marketplace and platform, deliver requested communications, process payments, maintain records, troubleshoot problems, prevent misuse, improve our products, and comply with legal obligations.

Checking an optional service-text box authorizes only conversational and service-related messages from Business Stub about the Business Stub inquiry, project, account, or service described at the point of consent. It does not authorize marketing texts or texts sent on behalf of an independent client business using the BusinessStub platform.

An authorized BusinessStub owner or operator who enters their own mobile number and separately checks the optional Business Stub Account and Business Notifications acknowledgment authorizes recurring transactional alerts to that signed-in user about their BusinessStub account and businesses they own or manage. Those alerts may cover relevant inquiries, inquiry replies, completed chatbot conversations, bookings, billing, compliance, or security items. This acknowledgment does not authorize customer-facing texts and does not create or transfer consent for the user's customers.

Mobile information and text-message consent

Mobile information, phone numbers, text-messaging originator opt-in data, and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may provide this information to vendors that help us deliver or support text messaging, solely as necessary to provide those services and subject to appropriate confidentiality and use restrictions. All other categories of information sharing described in this policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

Consent is specific to the Business Stub messaging program and purpose shown where it is collected. For Business Stub Account and Business Notifications, only the authorized owner or operator who opts in may receive account and business-activity alerts through Business Stub's verified messaging program. That consent is not customer consent, does not authorize customer-facing texts, and is not transferable to a client business, the user's customers, affiliates, unrelated campaigns, or any separate messaging program.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP or, for account and business notifications, by turning off SMS in your BusinessStub notification settings. Reply HELP for help or email [email protected].

When we disclose information

We may disclose non-SMS-consent information to service providers that host, secure, analyze, support, or process our services; to payment and communications providers; to professional advisers; when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. Providers may use information only for the services they perform for us unless their own legally presented terms apply.

If you submit an inquiry to an independent business listed or hosted through BusinessStub, relevant inquiry information may be made available to that business so it can respond. That business is responsible for its own communications and privacy practices. Business Stub service-text consent is not passed to that business.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, to maintain business and consent records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and relationship.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No website, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may decline the optional service-text checkbox and still submit an inquiry. You may ask to access, correct, or delete certain personal information, subject to identity verification and legal or operational retention requirements. Browser settings may limit cookies or similar technologies, although some features may then work differently.

BusinessStub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date.
